Jennifer Aniston GQ Magazine January Cover

Jen Aniston - vanity shot

Jennifer Aniston graces the January cover of GQ. The actress nearly bears all, save for her patriotic men’s tie. She has been front and center of late on magazine covers and providing sound bites, all in anticipation of her latest movie Marley & Me that opens in theater’s on Christmas Day.

We’ve been seeing the same themes discussed by the likes of Vogue magazine, Entertainment Weekly, New York Times magazine and a guest appearance on Oprah. She even has a Jennifer Aniston 2009 calendar where she bares all.

Jen talks about her seemingly new favorite subjects Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. She also shares a few tidbits about John Mayer, and the fact that she is not pregnant with his baby nor has she asked him to marry her. She also shares some small details about her next film Pumas, where she plays a ‘cougar’ in a “sort of female wedding crashers.”

Jennifer Aniston's 'GQ' cover: I love Jennifer

Anistongqcover_l_2 Okay, at the risk of exposing myself as a pervy old man, I have to say that the cover of the January issue of GQ (hits stands Dec. 23) has tipped it in for me: I love Jennifer Aniston. There. I said it. Feels good to get it out. You see, I was one of those snobby jerk-offs in the '90s who (rather vocally) HATED Friends and endlessly griped about how corny it is and how annoying the characters are (arguments I would still make today, but I recognize that it's a too-cool-for-school reaction to its formulaic sitcomery). But while Aniston will never be fully extricated from her association with Ross, Chandler, "Pheebs," and the gang, over the past decade or so she's certainly built enough of a post-Friends persona for me to step forth and pledge my love. Here are the Top 5 reasons I love Jennifer Aniston, despite hating Friends, that do NOT have to do with the fact that I enjoy seeing her naked:

1. Office Space (natch)
2. Her reasoned response to the career-over-baby accusations that had people running around with "I'll have your baby, Brad!" t-shirts during her divorce to Brad Pitt. "A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children....That really pissed me off. I've never in my life said I didn't want to have children," she told Vanity Fair in 2005.
3. Her dig this year at Angelina Jolie, who had publicly talked about falling for Pitt while he was still married to Aniston. "That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day [while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith]? That was really uncool," she told Vogue.
4. She's got a thing for rock-n-roll dudes -- first Adam Duritz, and now John Mayer (who's eight years her junior, I might add, which I think is kinda hot...for some reason. I know, I know, pervy old man).
5. The Good Girl, when I first realized there was more to Aniston than "Rach."

Honorable mention: Her hilarious appearance on 30 Rock earlier this year (the episode after the jump).

Anyone else out there overcome their dislike for Friends and fall for Aniston anyway? And how about that GQ cover, eh? Anyone out there realizing they dislike me because I hated on Friends just now?

Jennifer Aniston Entertainment Weekly Potty Mouth

Jennifer Aniston has taken everything in stride. I adore her spirit and she's so adorable. I think she's pregnant right now, too. Heh. She better have some kiddos because she'll probably be an amazing mother.

Jennifer Aniston on her Vogue quote (”What Angelina did was very uncool”) being taken out of context : “I was just surprised that Vogue would go so tabloid. I was bummed. But you almost expect it. Big deal. Done. Next.”

I was at the salon yesterday and I was shocked that "What Angelina did was very uncool" was on the cover of Vogue, too! I couldn't have said it better than Jen.

On the rumors that she’s carrying boyfriend John Mayer’s baby because she refused alcohol while having dinner:
“Oh my God, it’s hysterical. You can’t do anything without it going to some extreme. It’s almost going to take away the fun from actually being able to say one day, ‘I’m pregnant!’ Everyone will be like, ‘Yeah, right.’ It’s the boy who cried wolf. Stop stealing my thunder, motherfuckers!”

On her divorce from Brad Pitt: If you strip away all of the glitz and the glamour and the headlines – the shock and the awe of it – it’s just people living their life. Shit happens, and it’s normal as any other human being if you take away the headlines. It’s just not as interesting without the headlines.

On motherhood being in her future: “I’m on the verge of it in some way–or it’s something I long for.” … I’m on the verge of it in some way—or it’s something I long for.”

Jennifer Aniston appeared on the cover of GQ mag men, wearing little more than a few unbuttoned denim shorts, after being appointed as the magazine Woman of the Year. After the announcement of her divorce from Brad Pitt in January, Showing her sexy side, Aniston told the publication that they enjoy the attention of other men, but they refused to comment on the rumor its relationship with The Break Up co-star Vince Vaughn I ever expected doing a movie called The Break Up would be as cathartic as it was. The cloud is lifting. I'm starting to see the light and it is good.

A thin and playful Jennifer put modesty aside as the first woman ever to be honored on the cover in the 10-year history of GQ's "Men of the Year" issue series.Jennifer Aniston earned the honor because the magazine said she showed a lot poise, grace and good humor during her break up with Brad Pitt this year. The couple is pronounced the divorce last month after four years of marriage.More on Wiki
